PFUJ demands immediate release of Aaj News journalist Nafees Naeem

ISLAMABAD—Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) has strongly condemned Karachi-based journalist Nafees Naeem's abduction by men in plain clothes who took him away in a police van. His whereabouts are not known yet.

Nafees works with Aaj News as a senior assignment editor.

President PFUJ Shahzada Zulfiqar and Secretary-General Nasir Zaidi, while condemning the incident, demanded Naeem's immediate release and arrest of the culprits involved.

PFUJ leaders urged the Sindh government and the police to take urgent measures for the journalist's safe return and make all efforts for the safety and security of journalists and media workers; otherwise, PFUJ would launch a protest campaign against such disappearances.
