ISLAMABAD—Showing severe concern over the notification of 7News, directing staff to observe 12-hour duty timing, the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) termed it against the labor laws and International Labor Organization's charter.               

In a statement, PFUJ President Shahzada Zulfiqar and Secretary-General Nasir Zaidi said that the decision of 7News management seemed to be based on ignorance, callousness and was a violation of human rights.         

They urged them to withdraw the notice and implement timings as per local laws and international obligations.
