PEMRA fines Channel 24 for airing Ishaq Dar's interview

ISLAMABAD—Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) Thursday imposed a fine of Rs 1 million fine on Channel 24 for airing an interview of former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in its program 'Dastak' aired on February 3, 2022.

Expressing reservations, the authority warned the channel management that in case of any violation of PEMRA rules, the channel's license would be suspended.

The decision was taken during the 169th meeting of PEMRA held under the chairmanship of Chairman Muhammad Saleem Baig at the PEMRA Headquarters.
