LONDON—Pakistani journalists based in the UK have announced a protest at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground before the third one-day International between Pakistan and England.

Baghi TV reported that the demonstration will be staged against the biased and discriminatory treatment of the Pakistan Cricket Board and the English Cricket Board.

Reportedly, many prominent Pakistani journalists refused to cover the Pakistan-England series. “The ECB, on the recommendation of the PCB, has allowed only five Pakistani journalists to cover the cricket series,” according to Pakistani journalists based in the UK. It is further learned that not a single renowned working journalist belonging to the mainstream Pakistani media was allowed to cover.

Various Pakistani journalists' organizations from London, Manchester, Bradford, and Birmingham have decided to participate in the protest.
