ISLAMABAD- The federal government has appointed Naeem Bokhari as the chairperson of Pakistan Television for three years.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, he has also been appointed as an independent director of the PTVC board.

“Pursuant to the provisions of Section 166 of the Companies Act, 2017, the Federal Government is pleased to appoint Shahzada Naeem Bokhari as Independent Director of Pakistan Television Corporation Board,” says the notification.

It adds further: “The Federal Government has also approved nomination of Shahzada Naeem Bokhari as Chairman, PTVC Board in line with the Pakistan Television Corporation’s Memorandum and Article of Association (Article 95/95 A).”

The notification said that the chairperson unless he resigns earlier, will hold office for three years.

Bokhari is a lawyer and a television personality who has hosted the program Khabarnak on Geo News and a few other shows, including Apne Andaaz Se.
