ISLAMABAD - Nadeem Malik, the host of talk show Live with Nadeem Malik on Hum News TV, has complained that the activists of ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had trolled him on social media for pointing out the government’s economic performance and interviewing former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.

At the start of his program on Monday, he said as an independent journalist he would continue to point out the loopholes in the government policies. However, he regretted that he was targeted and abused by PTI activists.

In a tweet in Urdu, he asked if it was wrong to point out the government’s failures.

He asked Prime Minister Imran Khan to order a probe into this behavior where independent journalists get trolled for questioning government policies.

He maintained that using abusive language against journalists would not help resolve the economic problems of the government and the country.
