Mazhar Abbas wants IFJ and CPJ to probe Arshad Sharif's killing

ISLAMABAD—Journalist Mazhar Abbas has asked the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) and the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) to form a fact-finding mission to probe the killing of Pakistani journalist Arshad Sharif (pictured).

Sharif was shot dead in Kenya in the wee hours of Monday.

In a tweet, Abbas said this murder should not go unnoticed. "I appeal to International Federation of Journalists @IFJasiaapacific and @CpjAsia to constitute Fact Finding Mission to probe the killing of senior anchor person and investigative journalist #ArshadShareef This case unlike many journalist's murder should not go unnoticed."
