QUETTA — Unidentified armed men shot and injured Jamil Ahmed, a sub-editor with Daily Azadi in Quetta on Friday.

Reports said the shooters attacked him as he headed home. He was shifted to the local Trauma Center in a critical condition.

The motive behind the attack was not immediately known. 

Journalists union have condemned the attack and demanded arrest of the perpetrators.
