Geo cameraperson Muhammad Nasir dies of cancer

ISLAMABAD — Muhammad Nasir, a cameraperson with Geo News passed away on Tuesday morning in Rawalpindi following a long battle with cancer.

His colleagues say he had sustained a knee injury during Nawaz Sharif’s tenure, which later developed into cancer.

A few weeks ago, doctors had refused to treat him, and he shifted to a small room at the Rawalpindi Press Club.

Those who met him during the last days of his life said he had grown weak, had difficulty breathing, and spoke with great difficulty.

He wasn’t paid well by his employers, which complicated matters for him and his family. He leaves behind a widow and a son.
