Express Tribune correspondent Mureeb Mohamand dies of heart attack

PESHAWAR — Mureeb Mohmand, a district correspondent for The Express Tribune, died on Tuesday reportedly of a heart attack.

The Express Tribune reported that he was undergoing surgery at the Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar when he suffered a heart attack and passed away.

Mohmand is survived by his wife, four sons, and one daughter.

The paper said that he was with the Express Media Group for ten years and belonged to Haleemzai tribe of Mohmand district.

Kamal Siddiqi, a former editor of The Express Tribune said in a tweet that he was shocked at the death of his former colleague. He termed him a gentle person and a diligent reporter.
