 CEJ welcomes new batch of students for Masters of Science in Journalism program

KARACHI -  The Centre for Excellence in Journalism at the Institute of Business Administration (CEJ-IBA) welcomed its second batch of students for its Masters of Science in Journalism (MSJ) program.

CEJ Lecturer Hammad Sarfraz delivered a comprehensive overview of the course. He spoke about the state of the art facility at the centre along with the syllabus and courses offered. “Our Master’s program offers a unique hands-on journalism experience across all platforms,” he said, before wishing the students a progressive and successful academic term at CEJ.

Dr Farrukh Iqbal (pictured), IBA’s Dean and Executive Director, congratulated the students in his welcome address and briefly talked about various aspects of the institute. “We stand behind our programs and support them”.

Earlier, GM administration, Wing Commander (Retd.) Aamer Shabbir briefed the new batch about the Code of Conduct at IBA and gave the audience a virtual tour of the institute. “The current number of students enrolled at IBA is 3,766,” he told the audience. He talked about the student bodies at IBA and the facilities it provides to students.

Abdul Wajid Khan, the controller of examinations, explained the enrollment, attendance and grading rules at IBA to the incoming students in order to get them started for the new academic year. - A CEJ media release
