ISLAMABAD – Wajahat S. Khan, who hosted the program Mahaaz on Dunya News Television has bid goodbye to the channel after doing more than 200 episodes.

It was not immediately clear what his career plans were for the days ahead.

He announced leaving Dunya News on Twitter, saying “after 220 episodes, #Mahaaz is a wrap & I move on…”

He thanked his colleagues – managers, producers, editors, and others.

He also expressed gratitude to his fans. “Gratitude, for letting us challenge the monotony of prime time & push boundaries. Aaj Ka Mahaaz, Tumharay Naam.”

Thanks to my Dunya managers, producers, editors & shooters. You guys are the best.

Khan is a versatile journalist whose broadcasting career took off at DawnNews (English). Before that, he was the manager of news product development and strategy at the Jang-Geo Group.

He has also had stints at BOL News, CNN, and NBC News.
