PEMRA refers senator's complaint against Channel 24 to its Council

ISLAMABAD - The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority has referred a complaint filed by Senator Rehman Malik against Channel 24 to its Council of Complaints.

The complaint relates to a broadcast of a parody he considered 'humiliating and derogatory.' The program the senator objected to is 'Meray Aziz Humwatno'. "I refer to the above parody show of Channel 24 which is not only humiliating, insulting, pack of lies but also against PEMRA rules as this show is not within the limits of decency," Rehman said in his complaint.

He called on PEMRA to take action against the program's producers, anchors and the channel's management.
