PEMRA Council recommends fine of Rs100,000 on Channel 24

PESHAWAR - PEMRA's Council of Complaints has recommended a fine of Rs100,000 on Channel 24 for leveling baseless allegations of corruption against former Kahyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan.

 

A press release issued Friday, however did not say when these allegations were aired. The Council of Complaints recommended the fine during its 66th meeting. The house directed PEMRA regional office, Peshawar to issue a circular to all cable operators and FM licensees to observe sanctity of Ramzan.
