ISLAMABAD – Nasir Baig Chughtai, Executive Director News, Current Affairs and Programming, is leaving 92 News next month citing personal reasons.

He submitted his resignation about a week ago and is currently serving out the one-month notice period.

A prominent name in broadcast and print journalism, NBC as he is popularly known, had joined 92 News in April 2016 from BOL. It was not immediately known what his next stop will be.

Chughtai hosts the program NBC at 92.

He led Geo's launch team in Dubai and served in various capacities. At one point he was their executive director. He has also had stints at ARY News and Abb Takk.

In the 1980s he remained associated with Urdu daily Jang serving in such positions as chief news editor and deputy editor.
