Dunya Group signs up man who abandoned BOL ship

ISLAMABAD: Just 10 days after quitting BOL Network, senior journalist and anchor Kamran Khan has joined Dunya Media Group as President and Editor-in-Chief.

Dunyanews.tv reported Wednesday the group was “absolutely delighted….that one of the country’s most distinguished senior journalists has joined us.”

Khan, who signed up with BOL last July, resigned from the yet-to-go-on-air channel last month after a fake degree scandal against BOL’s parent company Axact surfaced.

He was criticized for abandoning ship and leaving his team in seeming trouble.

Welcoming Khan, Dunya Media Group’s CEO Mian Amir Mahmood said: "I have no doubts whatsoever that addition of Mr. Kamran Khan in the team will be a great asset for Dunya News in its mission to consolidate its position as Pakistan’s most popular, most independent and most reliable news organization."
