ISLAMABAD - Dr. Danish, for long the face of ARY News Television, has ended his association with the channel and is moving on to 92 News.

Making the announcement on Twitter Wednesday, he said:  "Ary news my 1st and old home and channel 92 is my new home I have great regards and love for both , but now I am in new family channel 92."

A consultant and senior anchor at ARY, Dr Danish hosted the program Sawal Yeh Hai for several years. The reasons for his leaving the channel could not be immediately known.

Last month the doctor was involved in a controversy for appealing to the Army chief in his show that he take over and topple the democratic set-up.

This drew PEMRA's attention and the channel now faces a fine of Rs100,000.
