Launch of ‘Pakistan Today’ delayed
ISLAMABAD: The launch of Arif Nizami’s new newspaper ‘Pakistan Today’ has been delayed until after Ramzan because of circulation worries.

JournalismPakistan has learnt that the management of the paper to be published simultaneously from Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad is not too sure if the newspaper could be widely distributed by the hawkers if it were brought out during the fasting month.

Ramzan starts in August, a time of the year when the pace of work in offices and elsewhere generally slows down and it is for this reason that concerns have been expressed over distribution.

‘Pakistan Today’ will be the second English language newspaper following The Express Tribune that hit the newsstands in April.

In Islamabad, ‘Pakistan Today’ has set up their offices at Al-Babar Centre in F-8 Markaz that also houses Daily Times while in Lahore, interestingly they are located just next to The Nation, the paper that showed Nizami the door. - JP
