ISLAMABAD – Senior journalist Shaheen Sehbai claimed Thursday that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif refused to answer questions by a judicial investigation team.
Sehbai said in a tweet: “PM'S JIT DRAMA: PM hotly refused 2 answr JIT Q's saying U hv no right 2 ask abt my family bzness matters. Aftr 3 hours on dot, he walked out.”
The JIT is investigating alleged corruption of prime minister’s family.
Media reports said the prime minister remained inside for three hours. He later told reporters: “These allegations have nothing to do with my tenure as prime minister and are not charges of corruption. They are charges against me and my family on a personal level.”
