ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority on Friday served a show-cause notice on HBO (ARY Communications) for airing a kissing scene.
The obscene content aired at 12:15 am in the movie ‘Dictator.’
“The content aired is highly offensive and against the commonly accepted standards of decency as well as religious and cultural norms of the country,” the regulator said.
PEMRA directed ARY Communications to submit a response in writing and also asked their CEO appear for a personal hearing on April 27.
