ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has banned with immediate effect the broadcast or re-broadcast of Mashriq TV program Narra Da Wakhat.
The regulator said the channel had defied its order of February 2, 2017, and a show-cause notice was issued on December 7, 2017. The organization was fined Rs500,000 and told not to air the program Narra Da Wakhat.
The channel managers did deposit the fine but continued to air this program of a foreign entity.
