ISLAMABAD: Urdu newspaper Roznama Dunya is likely to roll off the press on September 3, initially from Lahore.
A baby of the Dunya Group that runs the popular Dunya TV, the paper was to come out earlier this year. However, the plan was put back.
Now, insiders tell JournalismPakistan.com the new date looks definite.
This month, the management hired senior columnist Nazir Naji as the Group Editor. But his appointment prompted Amir Mir to quit barely two months after joining as the project head.
Amir is a brother of prominent television anchor Hamid Mir and Imran Mir, also a television journalist. He arrived at Dunya from The News where he was a deputy editor.
