LAHORE: There has been a protest by journalists in Lahore after Pakistan's T20 captain Shahid Afridi snubbed a reporter who questioned him about his captaincy record.
The reporter Sanaullah Khan of Dunya News Television, asked Afridi: ''What would be your strategy in the T20 World Cup as Pakistan has lost most T20 matches in your captaincy?" Afridi smiled and responded by saying he expected such a cheap question.
Those in the know tell JournalismPakistan.com Sanaullah Khan had filed a story during the recent England T20 series in the UAE claiming Afridi got his spikes cleaned by a small boy at the nets. That greatly angered the cricketer and probably led to Wednesday's snub.
Afridi's remarks upset the journalists who staged a protest in front of the Lahore Press Club and demanded an apology from Afridi and asked the Pakistan Cricket Board to issue a show cause notice to the player.
