ISLAMABAD: Imran Khan, head of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Friday apologized for his remarks against a journalist in Peshawar.
"I got angry and I apologize for that. I respect journalists a lot for they have given great sacrifices for democracy," he said at a news conference at Bani Gala. Khan gave television reporter Arif Yousafzai a dressing down at a recent press conference after being asked about his divorce with Reham Khan.
"Every society has some form of etiquettes. Every individual has some dignity or some manners. There are some ethics in life and no one asks personal questions...you should be ashamed of yourself," Khan hit back.
On Friday he made it clear he would not hear anything (bad) about his wife. "I would not want anyone to insult her," he said.
Journalists in Peshawar Thursday protested Khan's remarks and had demanded an apology.
If my call is so important to them, why don’t they answer it for 22 minutes?
