KARACHI: Three senior executive producers on the team of senior journalist and television anchor Kamran Khan (pictured) have rejoined Geo News reportedly on lucrative packages, and interestingly without consulting their boss.
A source tells JournalismPakistan.com the producers had joined BOL News with Khan but were left high and dry after the latter chose to quit the channel without taking them into confidence.
Khan resigned as President and Editor-in-Chief of BOL Media Group last week after The New York Times published a story alleging that Axact, a parent company of BOL, was involved in selling fake diplomas to students across the globe.
The source said Khan kept telling his producers he was in negotiations with managements of some top channels but they ignored him.
“Mir Shakil offered the three producers to rejoin the channel on lucrative packages and they accepted the offer,” he said.
The source also claimed that Khan is negotiating a deal with management of ARY News and Dunya TV separately and may join the one that offers him the best deal.
