ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) stands by journalists working with BOL media group as it has brought a positive revolution in the media industry, the union's President Afzal Butt said Wednesday.
“We have always stood by media workers without any discrimination and will continue to do so for rights of working journalists,” Butt said during a visit to BOL News Television offices in Islamabad. BOL is to go on air on Ramadan 1.
Thousands of journalists across the country are with their colleagues working at BOL; therefore, they need not worry about the current situation, he said.
“The BOL media group has played a vital role in improving living standards of journalists and in fact forced other media groups to increase wages of their workers whose salaries were not enhanced for many years,” he said.
The BOL management should also roll out a newspaper as well after launching of the television channel to improve the living standards of print media journalists, he said.
