ISLAMABAD: Prominent anchor Waseem Badami has resigned from BOL News Television after developing differences with the channel’s top management and is likely to join ARY News again from next month.
He joined upcoming BOL News on October 4 last year as Executive Vice President and Senior Anchorperson. Previously, he hosted a current affairs program “11th Hour” on ARY News.
“A massive recruitment movement is in process and at times, some individuals may be recruited who have a different career trajectory in mind. In this case, these individuals are free to pursue their calling and Wasim Badami is one of them. BOL wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavors and a farewell event will be organized by the BOL team,” BOL announced on its website.
A source tells JournalismPakistan.com that Badami was in touch with the ARY News management and may join the channel again as an anchorperson next month.
“Badami is negotiating terms and conditions with the ARY News management and hopefully will start hosting a current affairs program from next month,” he said.
Senior journalist Nadeem Raza also resigned from the post of Executive Vice President at BOL News in March, after reportedly developing differences with the management.
