ISLAMABAD: The Rawalpindi-Islamabad Photo Journalists Association (RIPJA) has elected Sajjad Haider as its president for the 11th time.
The News reported Tuesday that Haider and other candidates of Apna Panel were elected unopposed in the elections.
Recounting his achievements, the report said the RIPJA president raised around Rs10 million funds during his previous tenures for welfare of press photographers and their families.
“Moreover, around 30 laptops, 90 hard drives, USBs, professional photographer's jackets and camera bags were distributed among journalists during his previous tenures,” the report said.
The RIPJA also organized several photographic exhibitions, sports tournaments, get-togethers and other events to provide opportunities and healthy entertainment to photo-journalists of the twin cities, it said.
