ISLAMABAD: Mubasher Lucman, host of Kharra Sach program has accused ARY News management of running more than the allocated quota of Indian shows and advertisements on the channel.
“ARY has started to cut my show at the end and made its duration the smallest. Advertisers rule the greed of the owners. PEMRA sleeps.(sic),” he said in one of his tweets. Lucman says Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority has failed to regulate its own directives. “I don’t know if it’s corruption, negligence or both,” he said.
“I had to strongly request the management to stop ads of Eden Housing and Condoms on my shows....Sick of advts blackmail (sic),” he tweeted.
Lucman also discloses that he had resigned from ARY when Zindagi movie was launched in Pakistan. “I resigned but was given the assurance that Indian software will be only 6%. Sadly it wasn't to be (sic),” he said.
He said that most Pakistani channels were running after foreign or Indian used programs despite the fact that their advertising revenues have gone up tremendously.
“I went to court against all channels violating content rules by PEMRA, still await hearing after months,” he said in one of his tweets.
