ISLAMABAD: Anti-government protesters briefly occupied the PTV Building Monday suspending transmission before troops arrived to clear the offices. The protesters mainly belonging to Pakistan Awami Tehreek took several staffers hostage, beat some of them and broke equipment. Television footage showed the protesters entering the officesand later celebrating and flashing victory signs.
Clashes between the protesters who have been staging a sit for over two weeks clashed with police again.
PTV transmission was later restored.
