ISLAMABAD: The struggling Geo Television was dealt another blow Thursday when prominent anchor Kamran Khan announced he was quitting the channel.
It is likely that Kamran who was associated with Jang Group for 32 years will join BOL Television. He becomes the second big name to resign in just over a month after televangelist Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain jumped ship to join Express News in June.
Kamran made the announcement on his program; Aaj Kamran Khan Kay Saath' in which he praised his employers and briefly stated how he had progressed in his career.
He urged the media houses to let newsrooms do all the journalistic decision-making.
The once-mighty Geo Television is still trying to recover after the attack on Hamid Mir and events that unfolded leading to the channel's closure for 15 days.
To make matters worse for the beleaguered channel, there are reports of BOL Television hitting the airwaves soon.
