ISLAMABAD—Prominent television presenter Gharidah Farooqi said Wednesday she had tested positive for COVID-19.
She announced on Twitter that she had coronavirus symptoms for t the past two days and got herself tested, adding that she was already in self-quarantine at home.
"The disease is real and it is no shame to contract it, report it, treat it rightly," she said, telling people to keep others safe.
Journalists Kamran Yousaf, Arshad Sharif, and others prayed for her speedy recovery.
Last week, ARY News presenter Maria Memon had also tested positive for coronavirus.
