Does it happen to you. A word. A line from a song. A name. In the corner of your mind, on the tip of your tongue, right there and it won't come and fall into place. Elusive as a debtor, just hiding an inch away and driving you crazy. You can hear its echo, you can even see it in a blurry fashion but you cannot grasp it, it just stays out of reach.
Now, it is 2am and the night clock is ticking and the world is asleep and you are thinking of this person'e surname or that actor whose face is right up close and personal but what is his name or that poem's fifth verse or the quote you knew so well or the word that you use regularly and now in the early morning hours it has absconded and it is driving you round the bend but you are helpless and it gnaws at you and nibbles at your sanity and you cannot let it go.
Does it happen to you? Do you also worry about it endlessly or are you fortunate enough to let it go.
Lucky if you can.
