ISLAMABAD: Pervaiz Shaukat, President Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) has been elected to the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) advisory board.
The members of the Administrative Committee and its advisers were elected during the IFJ World Congress in Dublin.
According to news reports, he is the first Pakistani to be elected as adviser. He polled 243 votes.
The meeting elected 16 advisers with another 13 elected as reserves.
Shaukat’s critics however, claim he had no right to represent PFUJ internationally for his term ended in January this year and fresh elections were not held.
If my call is so important to them, why don’t they answer it for 22 minutes?
