ISLAMABAD - The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has served a show cause notice on Samaa Television for broadcasting 'inappropriate' and 'immoral' comments by social media celebrity Qandeel Baloch.
The notice said that on May 1, Samaa aired Ms Qandeel's inappropriate and immoral comments about the elected prime minister which is a violation of PEMRA code of conduct. Samaa have been directed to explain their position by appearing before the authority on May 17.
The notice said the lapse reflected the irresponsibility of the channel's managers and lack of time-delay systems.
