ISLAMABAD - The PEMRA Council of Complaints, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recommended a fine of Rs100,000 on Samaa Television for airing a false news about the death of SHO Prang Police Station, Charsadda on April 23, 2016.
The decision came at the 67th meeting of the Council held at the PEMRA regional office in Peshawar.
In a complaint filed by Muhammad Nadir Khan against ARY News bulletin 'News at Six' aired on April 30, the house took serious notice of no representative of the channel appearing before the Council. The matter was deferred until the next meeting.
