ISLAMABAD: Ammar Masood, renowned TV compere, humorist and short story writer, has joined News 92 Television channel which is yet to go on air.
A JournalismPakistan.com source says he would be writing script for a comedy-cum-political program for the channel and may also host a talk show.
Masood recently published his book “Mohabbat Ka Neela Rang,” an anthology of his short stories. He is son of a well-known Urdu/Punjabi poet Anwar Masood.
He was associated with Dunya News as head of special projects and columnist for Daily Dunya, an Urdu newspaper of the group.
His claim to fame remains the late night show ‘Ghazal Time’ on FM 100 back in 1995. He also hosted late night literary-musical shows like Raat Gaye, Dayar-e-Ishq and Dyar-e-Sukhan on Pakistan Television (PTV).
