ISLAMABAD - Nasir Baig Chughtai, the man who helped launch Geo Television, has joined 92 News.
Popularly known by his initials NBC, Baig was previously with BOL News that he had joined from Abb Takk Television in November 2014.
He was among the last staff members to leave BOL after the channel ran into problems with the authorities and failed to see light of the day. He was the senior executive vice president there.
NBC led Geo's launch team in Dubai and served in various capacities. At one point he was their executive director. He has also had a stint at ARY News.
In the 1980s he remained associated with Urdu daily Jang serving in such positions as chief news editor and deputy editor.
Since the start of the year, 92 News have also signed up senior journalists Khawar Naeem Hashmi, Rauf Klasra, Aamir Mateen and Dr Danish.
