ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Thursday lauded efforts of parliamentary reporters for positive coverage of Chinese President Xi Jinping's two-day visit to Pakistan.
Jinping addressed a joint sitting of the Parliament on Tuesday wherein he termed Pakistan as “iron brother” of China.
“I’m thankful to all parliamentary reporters for positive coverage of the Chinese President’s address to joint sitting of the Parliament. You (the journalists) performed your job well despite some security problems,” said Sadiq.
The speaker also directed his staff to upload photographs and clean footage of the Chinese President’s visit to Pakistan on the National Assembly website.
“Anyone of you (the journalists) can take help from material available on our (the National Assembly) website while writing an article or making a video report,” the speaker said.
During Jinping’s address to the Parliament, some Chinese journalists were also present in the Parliament’s press gallery to cover the event and they also interacted with Pakistani journalists.
