MULTAN: Unidentified men wearing masks attacked and injured the resident editor of daily Jang in Multan, media reports said Sunday.
Zafar Aheer was assaulted as he headed home from work Saturday. The attackers intercepted his car close to his residence.
"The attackers beat me a lot, tore my clothes and snatched my mobile phone," Aheer was quoted by local media as saying.
The assailants left bullets near Aheer's car before making good their escape. Police are investigating the matter but have made no arrests.
Aheer said the attackers called him an Indian and Jewish agent and a traitor.
