LAHORE – Muhammad Shahbaz Mian, President Lahore Press Club has rejoined BOL News ahead of the channel’s likely launch before the end of this year.
He comes in as executive analyst and anchorperson as BOL attempts to put together pieces of a shattered dream together.
Mian was previously editor current affairs and anchor at 7 News which he had joined after BOL ran into trouble with the government.
After over 15 difficult months that saw the media group’s CEO and several of his team members land in jail in a fake degree selling case, BOL is now dusting itself off. Hiring and rehiring is currently on in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi.
A JournalismPakistan.com source says BOL Media Group plans to have 10,000 employees on board over the next three years for all of its businesses that will include Urdu and English language newspapers.
When BOL operations came to a grinding halt in September 2015 the group had a staff of 2300.
