ISLAMABAD –Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) Thursday issued a fresh warning to all satellite television channels and distribution networks to restrict airing Indian content.
The authority said: “Considering the rising number of complaints against excessive Indian content on TV channels and airing if Indian channels through illegal DTH, it is appropriate that all the satellite TV channels and distribution networks follow the law of land and voluntarily discontinue all illegal activities immediately.”
Strict action will be taken against violators after October 15, PEMRA warned.
