ISLAMABAD – Muhammad Javed, 52, a photojournalist with The Express Tribune in Islamabad passed away Thursday evening following a protracted illness.
Tribune reported Friday that Javed had recently been diagnosed with bone cancer and was being treated at a local hospital. Earlier on he suffered from tuberculosis for a long time.
The deceased leaves behind a daughter, 15, a son 11, and a widow.
Javed was associated with The Express Tribune for seven years during which he covered a number of major events.
He was to be buried in Rawalpindi on Friday afternoon.
