SARGODHA: A grenade was hurled by unidentified assailants Monday evening at the bureau office of Express News Television in Sargodha that left a security guard injured.
Reports said the office building was slightly damaged in the attack that came just days after a similar attack on Din News Television office in Lahore. Two policemen and an employee were wounded. Earlier in November, there was a grenade attack on Dunya News office in Faisalabad that injured three employees.
The Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) condemned Monday's attack and announced holding a protest Tuesday.

It has always been mystifying why so much store is held by flinging people out of office unceremoniously rather than decorously letting them go. The argument given is that the guillotine has to be sharp and flinty because there is always the risk that in this cyber age the departee may truly do the dirty and mess with the systems.Read more... | Archives
