ISLAMABAD - Geo Television has been told to exercise care after broadcasting a message of a woman to her husband whom she urges he join global terrorist outfit Daesh.
The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) said in an advisory to the channel Friday that such content could impact immature minds. The message was aired in the program Capital Talk Thursday (January 21, 2016). The woman fled to Syria along with her children to wage jihad.
PEMRA advised that Geo should be careful in airing content that directly or directly enables broadcast of terrorists' messages.
