LAHORE – Rauf Sheikh, Editor Coordination at The News passed away Saturday in Lahore. He was 59.
The News reported that he suffered respiratory problems shortly after arriving for work. His condition worsened while he was being taken to Services Hospital.
Doctors tried their best to revive him but failed.
Sheikh began his career with the Pakistan Times in the 1980s. He then moved to The Nation before joining The News in 1991.
