ISLAMABAD: The Cultural Journalists Foundation has written to Pakistan Television (PTV) Managing Director Mohammed Malick complaining against alleged ‘immoral activities’ of a state-television anchor Taranjeet Singh.
Dunya News reported that an intelligence agency is already investigating the allegations that Singh forces aspiring models to spend time with influential personalities from India by promising them a chance in Bollywood.
Officials of the foundation have demanded Malick to initiate an inquiry into conduct of the anchor as the latter is also alleged to have maligned Pakistan’s image in his shows.
The foundation’s General Secretary Thakur Lahori told the press the foundation has brought into the notice of the MD that the anchor invites Indian guests on his show and then engages in ‘immoral conduct’ and also badmouths Pakistan’s ideology.
The foundation alleged that Taranjeet misleads aspiring models to spend time with traders, industrialists and artists who come from India by promising them roles in Bollywood.
