PESHAWAR – 24 News Television has shut down its Peshawar bureau and terminated about a dozen employees.
The management has given a one-month notice to the staffers to pack up.
Those sacked include the bureau chief, a reporter, three camera operators, and some low-level staff.
A JournalismPakistan.com source says that the employees were handed the termination letters stating that they will cease to be the staff members from July 18.
The source says that only two employees not sacked have been told to work from home.
